I think my new rv is a lemon, can you help me?
I just bought a new gulfstream travel trailer and I'm taking it back to the dealers in the morning with a long list of problems. How can I protect myself agaisnt shabby repairs and getting what I want fixed fix? Is there lemon laws for RV's? I've searched the internet but not finding what I'm looking for.I'm just worried I bought a dead horse and I'm going to be stuck with a lot of repair bills.Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with the Dealers. Thanks OK guys calm down,I was just looking for suggestions. Thanks for the picture idea and yes this better be covered under the warrenty, it is new unit. Again thanks for the suggestions.

- If you bought the trailer "AS IS" there probably isn't much you can do but to pay for all the repairs, but if it is under warranty from a dealer they may have to pay for some or all the repairs. You may want to check this out with a lawyer.
- before you go off of the deep end, sit down and make a complete list of what you need to have fixed, take before and after photos of the work that needs to be done, should have been done before you took posession of the unit. find out if that unit was a refurbished unit from the katrina storm and they didnt tell yo before hand. get the manufacturers web site and get any and all info straight from the horses mouth. if its a new unit, you shouldnt have the problems that you describe, dont be afraid to enlist the services of your local BBB and atty generals office if the repairs are not up to snuff. good luck
- Why not give them a chance to get it right before you crucify them? My dad spent a bundle on an RV that went in a couple of times before his big cross country trip. They got it right before he left. You are over reacting out of fear...settle down...let them fix it...then ask us again if they screw it up!
