Why have climate "scientists" joined used car salesman and trial lawyers as the most distrusted occupations?

Quick, name the most distrusted occupations. Trial lawyers? Used car dealers? Over the last three months a new profession has threatened to overtake all: climate scientist. First came the Climategate e-mails made public in November that showed how top-level climate scientists distorted research, plotted to destroy data and conspired to prevent publication of dissenting views. 1. Unfortunately the US demonizes science. Which will significantly affect our ability to produce in the coming decades.

Of interest, here is additional information proving that they're liars: John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel, in an hour-long television documentary titled "Global Warming: The Other Side," presents evidence that our National Climatic Data Center has been manipulating weather data just as the now disgraced and under investigation British University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit. The NCDC is a division of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Its manipulated climate data is used by the Goddard Institute of Space Studies, which is a division of the National Aeronautical and Space Administration. 6. Fact Check .org is a biased organization. Climate scientists have given themselves a bad wrap because they lie about things. Let's see. - UN Admits that the glaciers melting in the himalyans is based on a college students paper (a guess) and not fact. - 6000 climate stations have be reduced by 75% to 1500 and those eliminated where in cold weather areas so they are getting higher than normal temp readings. - Data submitted from the cold temp areas of Russia are not included in global numbers - Data in Alaska only goes back to 1980. Everything else is on paper and not usable because no one wants to pay for data entry costs.

8. The evidence is still pretty strong for manmade global warming. The rise of the sea, the retreat of the glaciers, the watery North Pole in summer -- I don't have to trust or distrust anybody to make these observations for myself. The manmade part makes sense but is not 100% sure. Water vapor might play a role as a greenhouse gas. How strong it is compared to CO2 is not known for sure. Short answer: Everything that depends upon people reading instruments and honestly reporting what they read, I distrust to a moderate degree. Everything that depends of photographs that I can see in front of my eyes and that come from 1000 sources that have no basis to be in collusion with each other just to fool me, I do not distrust very much -- maybe a teeny weeny bit -- what I see in a picture is not as certain as what I see with my own eyes in person being there, so let's say 1% distrust. Caveat: If the readings come from Captain Cousteau, Jr. on the Calypso, the French oceanic research vessel, I trust them. I also trust most of what is reported by NOAA, or the Coast Guard, or the U.S. Navy.
9. Why? (if there is any basis to this) Have enough paid off shills to scream that the sky is plaid and inevitably the easily persuaded and flat-out dumb will begin to concur. Hence as it is with many to whom climate science has become an object of distrust and derision. Why? Thank Faux news and reich-wing politicians whose salaries are paid by those most suspect of climate harm. Thank Faux GOP minions for being that impressionable and dumb. That's why.
