- Buying a 10 year old car, almost certainly "as-is" would not be covered by Lemon Law. If you think it worthwhile you could try and claim in small claim court.
- Lemon Law does not apply to 12 year old junk.
- even a brand new car wont be covered by the lemon law 99% of the time
- philli dunt knw about but if u r car has higher then 100k it out of lemon law if it unda 100k den its under lemon law but check with ur local DMV good luck
- Lemon law only applies to purchase of a new vehicle. An 11 year old one will not qualify. --- Issues must be reported by the owner within one year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- Wow, some folks REALLY need to read up on Lemon Laws and quit listening to the stupid commercials on the radio/TV. Sorry, an 11-year old vehicle will never be covered under Lemon Laws. Those only apply to new cars that have had the same condition pop up making the vehicle unusable. Used cars are covered only in certain states, and only if the used vehicle is still within the manufacturer's original warranty. Due to misinformation spread on here and in the media, folks seem to think that Lemon Laws are able to be used any time a vehicle has issues. Not the case.
- In most states, the lemon law claim has to be made in the first 12-24 months after purchasing a NEW vehicle. A 10 year old vehicle has no lemon law protection, and no warranty. You bought it "as is".
